Good evening SAM Families!
We are down to our final five weeks of school and the weather has fast forwarded us to summer!
This week concludes our MCAS testing for 2022. Tomorrow and Tuesday, our 6th grade students will be taking the Math MCAS test and on Thursday and Friday, our 8th grade students will be taking the Science MCAS test. For both of those students, this is a final reminder to make sure they have their chromebooks with them when they come to school, make sure it is charged and bring just water to the testing room - no snacks please!
For our 7th grade students, next week, on Wednesday and Thursday, Nature’s Classroom will be on site at Samoset conducting an amazing one-day educational experience. We still have a few spots open if students have not yet turned in their deposit and permission slips, but a reminder that all money is due by this Friday, May 20th to attend.
We are so proud of all of our students who participated in the All-City musical this weekend! Each show was amazing and we are so fortunate that this incredible tradition came back this year! We cannot wait to see what next year’s show will look like!
Finally, this is another reminder that there is a dress code for our students at Samoset. The clothing items that need to be addressed are spaghetti strap shirts, bare midriff shirts and shorts that are too short and too tight. Please check your child’s outfit before they leave for school - we may have to call parents to bring in clothes if the items are too revealing.
We only have four Mondays left in the school year including tomorrow so let’s make it count! Have a great night!
Parent Information Center is now enrolling ALL students K-12. Please call or email us to set up your virtual appointment. Enrollment packets can be found on our website and at each lunch site (LHS, FD, FB, and JA)

Samoset School officially opened its doors to usher in the 1995-1996 school year. This year, we proudly celebrate our 27th anniversary! It is quite a different school year, as we begin in a remote format with the hope to return sometime in the late fall!
We welcome students in grades Six, Seven, and Eight. Our school mascot is a Wildcat and our motto is “Wildcats C.A.R.E….we are Civil, we Achieve, we Respect, and we Encourage!”
It is our mission to provide opportunities for students to achieve their personal best, become responsible and productive citizens, and embrace lifelong learning in a safe and positive environment. We believe all children can learn and excel with developmentally appropriate materials, practices, and strategies.
